Hello. I'm Mike Slater. I launched my business in 1995 and developed *Seren Web to run dynamic websites and software application.

I have been programming computers since 1982 when my father bought a Dragon 32 home computer with 32kB hard storage - that's not quite enough hard disk storage these days to display this web page. Now I specialise in offering clients the best possible websites for their business or creative project.

During the "2020s Economic Transition", I am working with clients to change their online business to adapt to the new ways of small business SME trading.

For Powys Safety Solutions, I created online courses to allow remote training. The system allows the company to create slide shows, videos and manage questionnaires.

For The English Garden School, Budapest, I created a child login area so the children could download worksheets each day and watch videos with their teachers.

For Crescent Picture Frames, I created bespoke software which allows users to upload their own image, view it with varying mount colours and frames and then purchase the final bespoke item securely.

UK Gifts Online For Old Tupton Ware Ltd, I created a new ecommerce site with a range of gift and home items from this long established gift company with a range of tools for the client to manage the stock.

Since 2000, I have managed, designed and developed websites and applications for business owners, sole traders, charities and creative people. Running our own web servers for clients, I believe that we can offer a friendly, effective service to create a successful, safe online presence for you.

The business has been trading continuously since 1st July 1995 and running web servers every day since 1st March 2000.

Our websites are fast

No-one has much patience online so we make sure our web servers are very responsive and we code client websites to be extremely fast. On good connections, our average client website currently download in:

MY APPROACH

Fully responsive websites

All client websites we manage are fully "screen responsive" on all devices. Screen responsive means webpages using the same online address whether they are on desktop or mobile, but "respond" according to the screen size of the device. This ensures our client sites can be viewed easily on everything from the smallest phone to large TV screens.

"Search ready" websites

There is no "secret" to search engine positioning;
1. Host your site on fast web servers with all the latest software updates
2. Use responsive design
3. "Content is King" and make sure you have relevant content
4. Encourage some high-quality inbound links from websites already well positioned on the search engines
5. Use social network platforms to promote your "brand" and
6. Work on page titles and descriptions.

We help all our clients in building a good search position. Some examples (among many) include position 1 on global search for "glass eyes", position 1 for "budapest property rentals" and position 6 for global search on "race arches", position 7 on "native american gifts" etc
